EXPLORE

ON THE ISLAND

Kiawah Island is known for its year round accessibility to the finest recreation! Whether you enjoy relaxing on the beach or the by the pool, exploring the island on bike or foot or hitting the links, there is something for everyone on island.

BEACH

Enjoy Kiawah's beach with access points across the island where you can walk or bike to enjoy some sunshine and waves!

If you are staying at the resort, beach chairs and towels are available to you, or you can rent chairs, umbrellas and towels. They will set up chairs on the boardwalk closest to where you are staying.

BIKE

We highly recommended biking around the island on the ample bike paths. It is the best way to get to the beach and to see the island with all it has to offer. These paths are also wonderful for walking, running and enjoying the wildlife. Depending on your place of stay, bikes can be rented through rental services, the hotel or independent companies.

There are many groups that offer the same service, but we recommend Alligator Bike.

GOLF

Host to the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, Kiawah Island boasts five acclaimed golf courses that are open to the public: The Ocean Course, Turtle Point, Cougar Point, Osprey Point, and Oak Point. Learn more here or call 843- 768-2121 to reserve a tee time.

All guests of the resort will receive a 10% discount on scheduled tee times.

EAT & DRINK

Kiawah Island offers several on resort restaurants with reservations available to all guests. We recommend The Ryder Cup Bar (Ocean Course Clubhouse), The Atlantic Room (The Ocean Course), Ocean Room (The Sanctuary), Jasmine Porch (The Sanctuary), Tomasso at Turtle Point.

Fresh Fields Village is an amazing shopping and dining destination located right outside of the resort with beautiful courtyard patios, seasonal events, spas, salons, outdoor concerts and a seasonal Farmer’s Market. Here are some of the many restaurants to try: Cantina 76, Co-op, La Tela Pizzeria, Hege's, King Street Grille, FortyEight - Wine Bar & Kitchen, Fuji Sushi Bar and Grill, Java Java Coffee House.

OFF THE ISLAND

Downtown Charleston is just a short drive from Kiawah Island and offers rich history, great shopping, and exceptional dining. There is much to explore in the Holy City, but we recommend visiting the Pineapple Fountain, Rainbow Row, and the Battery, and perhaps taking a walking tour or ghost tour. We also love shopping on King Street and in the Market. Of course, no trip to Charleston is complete without enjoying some delicious bites! We suggest the following:
